Multiple bilateral widespread white matter deep periventricular predominantly oval-shaped foci and patches of abnormal high signal intensity on FLAIR images are seen. Similar abnormal foci are also seen involving the corpus callosum. Post-contrast evaluation revealed an enhancing lesion in the right high parietal region.
Case Discussion
The MR findings are in keeping with widespread demyelinating disease i.e. multiple sclerosis with a right posterior parietal enhancing lesion denoting an active plaque.
