The cartilaginous femoral heads are normal and symmetric. There was no subluxation or dislocation with stress maneuvers. There is normal (50% or greater) coverage of the bilateral femoral epiphyses. The right alpha angles range from 61 to 65 degrees, and the left alpha angles range from 63 to 68 degrees (normal >60 degrees).
Case Discussion
This is a normal ultrasound of the hip in a patient that was at risk for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) given the history of a breech presentation.
