Presentation

Gait disturbance with dementia and urinary incontinence.

Patient Data

Age: 85 years
Gender: Female
mri

The MRI sequences demonstrate:

  • dilatation of the third and lateral ventricles with

    • upward bowing of the corpus callosum 

    • increased Evans index (0.40)

    • acute callosal angle (73.6°)

  • disproportionate enlargement of the subarachnoid space with enlarged Sylvian fissures

  • patchy FLAIR and T2 hyperintensities periventricular the white matter and centra semiovale suggestive chronic small vessel ischemic change with old left occipital infarct
