Ill-defined mass at the ileocecal junction resulting in small bowel obstruction. Adjacent abnormal ileocolic lymph nodes. Right pelvic urinary bladder diverticulum.
Case Discussion
Ileocecal mass (specifically adenocarcinoma, in this case, which was confirmed with biopsy and treated with right hemicolectomy) is an important cause of small bowel obstruction. Carefully evaluate the adjacent ileocolic lymph nodes for abnormal size, lobulated contour, or abnormal enhancement to support a malignant cause of obstruction.
