Irregular-shaped stone in the distal right ureter measuring about 4 mm in diameter with subsequently marked dilatation of the proximal right ureter and pelvicalyceal system.
Mild perinephric and periureteric fat stranding.
Malrotated right kidney with duplication of the pelvicalyceal system and proximal ureter.
Left renal calculus which does not cause obstructive uropathy.
Case Discussion
Stone formation is increased by renal malrotation and duplex kidneys. This example shows obstructive uropathic changes caused by a distal ureteric stone.
