Multiple expansile lucent intraosseous lesions some of which demonstrate chondroid matrix involving bilateral distal radius and ulna bones, metacarpal and phalanges bones. Non-visualization of the right 4th finger, likely related to prior amputation. Shortening of the right distal ulna bone resulted in Madelung deformity.
Case Discussion
The overall radiographic appearance is in keeping with a severe form of multiple enchondromatosis (Ollier disease) with associated Madelung deformity. Patients with Ollier disease and Maffucci syndrome are at higher risk of developing a malignant transformation usually to chondrosarcoma.
