Optic pilocytic astrocytoma

There is a retrobulbar mass lesion involving right optic nerve, that shows T1-WI low signal and T2-WI high signal intensity and avid enhancement on post contrast images.
Case Discussion
Microscopic evaluation and immunohistochemistry reflect G-FAP positive astrocytic differentiation, compatible with Pilocytic astrocytoma.
Hemangiopericytoma is said in differential diagnosis.
This is an example of sporadic optic nerve pilocytic astrocytoma not associated with NF1.
