Presentation
Facial trauma, right orbital pain, and right eye upward gaze limitation.
Patient Data
Right orbital floor blow-out fracture with extraconal hematoma interposed the inferior rectus muscle and orbital floor and partially encased this muscle and inferior oblique muscle tendon with maxillary sinus hemorrhage are seen. Minimally displaced fracture in the right orbital medial wall adjacent to the floor with ethmoid sinus hemorrhage is noted. Right preseptal soft tissue swelling and exodeviation of the right eye are seen.
Case Discussion
This is a rare case of orbital floor blow-out fracture and extraconal hematoma interposed the inferior rectus muscle and the floor which has led to the dysfunction of the muscle.
