Case Discussion

Tibial osteochondrosis is a generally self-limited entity. It occurs in adolescents of growing age, secondary to repetitive microtrauma during the phase of skeletal maturation of tibial tubercle 1.

It is common in patients who perform repetitive jumping sports such as basketball, volleyball, and soccer. Men: 10-15 years. Females: 8-13 years. It can be bilateral in 20-50% of cases 1.
