Local cortical lucent lesion (nidus) of the proximal humeral diaphysis with no calcifications. This lesion is surrounded by a prominent periosteal reaction.
Case Discussion
History and CT findings are consistent with the diagnosis of osteoid osteoma.
It is a benign bone tumor which usually occurs in the cortex of long tubular bones. Classically patients present with nocturnal pain which is relieved by aspirin.
