Presentation

Left-sided craniofacial pain, exacerbated in the evenings.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

CT imaging demonstrates a lytic bone lesion located within the petrous region of the temporal bone showing a central calcified nidus and accompanied by marked adjacent bone expansion and sclerosis.

Case Discussion

Osteoid osteoma of the temporal bone is rare. Characteristic radiological features include lytic lesion with central nidus surrounded by extensive bony sclerosis.
