Proximal metadiaphyseal amorphous callus formation with blurring of the cortex that permeates into the bone marrow of the left humerus. Some periosteal reaction is seen more distally.
Impression: findings compatible with bone malignancy, most likely osteosarcoma.
Case Discussion
This represents a case of osteosarcoma confirmed by bone biopsy.
Management included six cycles of chemotherapy, followed by surgical removal of the tumor. An additional two cycles of chemotherapy are scheduled post-surgery.
