Presentation

Right flank pain

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
ct

There is a well-defined large cyst in the right ovary, displacing the bladder to the midline and causing enlargement of the right ovary.
Twisted ovarian pedicle seen.
The left adnexa appears unremarkable.
A trace amount of free fluid is noted in the pouch of Douglas.
Multiple tortuous vessels within the pelvic cavity suggestive of pelvic congestion.

Case Discussion

Features are suggestive of right sided large ovarian cyst complicated by ovarian torsion.
