Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

CT total body - no trauma-related finding.

Incidental finding of arteriovenous malformation (AVM) around the pancreatic head with feeding arteries from the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and the splenic artery and veins draining into the splenic vein and the portal confluence.

Case Discussion

An incidental finding of pancreatic arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a very rare entity, evidenced by the few available case reports. If the AVM is large enough, it can become symptomatic due to substantial shunting of blood. In that case, selective embolization is employed 1.
