The hepatic attenuation value is less than that of the spleen, suggesting fatty liver disease.
A well defined tongue-like liver tissue projection arises from the caudate lobe and extends medially.
A tiny stone less than 3 mm is present at the upper calyx of the right kidney.
Case Discussion
Features are consistent with a prominent papillary process of the caudate lobe.
This finding is important in not confusing it with a hepatic or pancreatic neoplasm or a retroperitoneal lymph node.
