Severe left hydronephrosis with marked cortical thinning noted, however; no evidence of calculi.
The left renal Pelvis is markedly dilated with abrupt termination at the pelviureteric junction, hence the left ureter is of normal caliber.
The delayed phase shows contrast pooling with no contrast excretion of the left kidney noted.
Case Discussion
Pelviureteric junction obstruction can be congenital or acquired (extrinsic ureteric compression or encasement).
