Perforated appendicitis with phlegmon formation

Inflammatory mass (phlegmon) in the right iliac fossa surrounding a perforated appendix which is visible in its proximal segment only. This inflammatory mass contains an appendicolith with surrounding fat stranding, thickening with enhancement of the peritoneal reflections as well as reactive thickening of the terminal ileum and reactive enlarged lymph nodes.
