Presentation

Painless swelling on the right side of the face for a few years.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
ct

There is a cystic lesion involving the upper edge of the right side of the maxilla with associated erosion of its wall, encasing the root of the underlying tooth.

The rest of the bones appear unremarkable.

Case Discussion

CT features and location of the lesion favor a periapical cyst.
