Presentation

Reduced conscious level after generalized tonic-clonic convulsions for 30 minutes.

Age: 15 years
Gender: Female

Case Discussion

The patient has cerebral palsy with spastic quadriplegia and is currently on anti-epileptic medications. She has a history of hypoxic-ischemic insult at birth. The CT pattern of white matter loss with the ventricular dilatation is typical of end-stage periventricular leukomalacia (PVL).
