x-ray

In these frontal and lateral projections, we can observe lobar consolidation of the right lower lobe and middle lobe atelectasis. No other findings.

Case Discussion

This is a typical case of silhouette sign, the lower lobe consolidation doesn't hide the cardiac silhouette contour (Felson sign).

On the other hand, in the lateral projection, it is important to observe the low density of the lower vertebral bodies in contrast with the higher density of the superior vertebral bodies, when the lower bodies have high density we may suspect lung parenchymal anomaly like consolidation, atelectasis or mass .
