Polyarticular gouty tophi

Bilateral knee, ankle and foot intra-articular and subcutaneous as well as left Achilles tendon multiple high attenuation tophi with adjacent bony erosive changes and intra-osseous tophi.
Bilateral knee chondrocalcinosis.
Case Discussion
The patient had a long history of gout.
Tophi are usually seen on CT as high density masses which can be seen within the bone, about joints, within tendons, and in the soft tissues. CT also shows the characteristic well demarcated erosions with overhanging margins which are often associated with tophi.
