Presentation
Known case of cerebral palsy with altered level of consciousness.
Patient Data
Scan quality is degraded by motion artifacts. No CT evidence of recent established territorial infarction, intracranial hemorrhage, mass effect or midline shift is seen. Two small CSF densities, likely old infarcts, noted in the left basal ganglia. A CSF-density (likely porencephalic cyst) in the left parietal lobe. Normal size posterior fossa, cerebellar agenesis/hypoplasia except superior vermix, hypoplastic pons, moderate dilatation of the ventricular system, periventricular white matter hypodensities and asymmetrical dilation of the right frontal horn (probably related to gliotic changes in the right frontal lobe). Bilateral phthisis bulbi.
Case Discussion
CT features are suggestive of pontocerebellar hypoplasia.
