Diagnosis certain

Presentation

Known case of esophageal carcinoma. Post-esophagectomy and post-chemo status. Follow-up scan.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

The esophagus is surgically removed. The stomach is pulled up to replace the resected esophagus. No definite CT-detectable abnormal wall thickening or mass lesion is appreciated.

The spleen is mildly enlarged in size, which is most likely due to post-chemo status.

A streak of free fluid is seen in the pelvis.

The rest of the imaged organs are within normal limits.

Case Discussion

Post-esophagectomy and post-chemo status in a patient with a known history of esophageal cancer.

No evidence of a definite recurrent disease process is seen in the current study.
