An extra-axial cyst (95*60 ) with CSF signal at left side posterior fossa and extension to the right posterior fossa is seen.
The mass effect upon 4th ventricle results in severe triventricular hydrocephaly and mild periventricular CSF extravasation. Corpus callosum thinning is noted.
Case Discussion
The child with massive obstructive hydrocephalus due to a posterior fossa arachnoid cyst pushing the cerebellum anteriorly and obstructing CSF flow.
