The prepatellar bursa appeared hypertrophic and distended by a 3 x 6.5 x 8 cm heterogeneous fluid collection of blood with a high signal rim (T1/T2) situated at the anterior aspect of the knee joint at the interface between the patella and subcutaneous fat.
Case Discussion
MRI imaging findings are in keeping with a prepatellar collection of blood (hematoma).
