Presentation

Abnormal head shape with a decreased head circumference percentile.

Patient Data

Age: 14 years
Gender: Male
  • complete fusion of all major cranial sutures

  • mild endocortical scalloping and loss of cisternal spaces

  • widened occipital mastoid emissary foramina (sign of venous hypertension)

Case Discussion

Pansynostosis or pancraniosynostosis is a severe form of craniosynostosis and is usually syndromic, associated with Crouzon syndrome 1. This case demonstrates a non-syndromic case of pansynostosis.
