Proximal phalanx fracture

There is an oblique fracture of the proximal phalanx of the right fifth finger with associated soft tissue swelling.
Bone density appears normal for age.
Case Discussion
This represents a case of a proximal phalanx fracture. The patient was given a splint and an orthopedic follow-up in 6 weeks. After the follow-up, he was advised to engage in finger range of motion as tolerated.
