Few cavitary lesion in the bilateral upper lobes with adjacent areas of consolidation and multiple centrilobular opacities, some of which showing tree in bud appearance with mild free fluid collection noted in left pleural cavity. – likely pulmonary tuberculosis with endobronchial spread and left minimal pleural effusion.
Case Discussion
Cavitary lesions in the apices of lungs are typical features of pulmonary tuberculosis. Here, multifocal areas of consolidations with centrilobular nodules giving tree-in-bud appearance can be appreciated, these findings are typical in the endobronchial spread of pulmonary tuberculosis.
