The left kidney shows a solitary small-sized (1.82 x 0.81 cm) hyperechoic and posteriorly shadowing calcific focus centrally located within the ipsilateral left renal pelvis. The focus demonstrates a positive twinkling artefact on color Doppler interrogation and mild calyectasis ipsilaterally.
Case Discussion
Posteriorly shadowing calcific focus (calculus) with a positive twinkling artefact centrally located within the left renal pelvis results in mild calyectasis, suggesting partially obstructive small solitary pyelolithiasis.
