The left brachiocephalic vein has an aberrant course beneath the aortic arch and posterior to the ascending aorta to drain with a low union with the right brachiocephalic vein, forming a short superior vena cava.
Case Discussion
A retro-aortic brachiocephalic vein is an uncommon anatomical variant.
