An incidental finding of left renal vein located between the aorta and the vertebra and draining into the inferior vena cava.
Case Discussion
Retroaortic left renal vein (RLRV) is a normal anatomical variant with an estimated prevalence of ~2%. Its recognition is important in order to avoid complications during retroperitoneal surgery or interventional procedures.
