Presentation

Presented to the ER with high fever without accompanying cough our breathing difficulty. Elevated inflammatory markers.

Patient Data

Age: 65
Gender: Male

Initial erect PA CXR

x-ray

A circumscribed consolidation can be discerned medially in the right lower lung zone, a pattern suggesting RML as the location.

Control CXR 20 days later

x-ray

Following treatment using broad-spectrum antiobiotics the complete regression of the consolidation can be observed.
