Case Discussion

The sacrospinous ligament is a pelvic ligament intermingled with the sacrotuberous ligament. It is attached from the spine of the ischium and the outer edge of the sacrum and coccyx. The sacrospinous ligament calcification can cause sciatic pain because of the proximal sciatic nerve compression.
