Salter-Harris type II injury

Minimally displaced little finger fracture involving the proximal phalanx. Linear lucency extends to the radial aspect of the physis proximally, in keeping with a Salter-Harris type II injury. Mild to moderate surrounding soft tissue swelling.
Case Discussion
This represents a Salter-Harris type II injury of the little finger. An extension splint was placed, and a follow-up was recommended in 1 week at the orthopedic clinic.
