There is a well-defined, lobulated, thin-walled, anechoic lesion on the dorsal aspect of the wrist. It is non-compressible without internal vascularity. It overlies the scapholunate joint, between 2nd and 4th extensor compartments. Approximate size is 14 x 14 x 7 mm. Its neck extends to the scapholunate joint. There is a fluid cleft in the dorsal scapho-lunate ligament.
No wrist joint effusion/ extensor tenosynovitis.
Case Discussion
Findings suggest a scapholunate ganglion cyst.
