Presentation

Palmar-radial side left wrist nodule with mild pain for the last few months.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

The clinically visible nodule is a well-defined, lobulated, thin-walled, anechoic, avscular lesion located at the scaphotrapezial joint. There is a small incomplete septum in the lesion. Acoustic enhancement is present. Its pedicle extends to the scaphoidtrapezial joint. The adjacent flexor carpi radialis tendon is normal.

Case Discussion

The case shows a volar wrist ganglion cyst from the scaphoidtrapezial joint. A ganglion cyst is the most common mass lesion in the wrist and hand.
