Presentation

Right renal pain and tenderness for CT KUB.

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male
ct

Gallstones.

Hepatomegaly and small hyperdense spleen (autosplenectomy).

Right lower lung lobe consolidation changes, suspicious of pneumonia.

ultrasound

Ultrasound confirms the presence of gallstones and a small spleen.

Case Discussion

This case shows abdominal manifestations of sickle cell disease, commonly hepatomegaly, gallstones and autosplenectomy. The patient has a known history of sickle cell disease with repeated blood transfusions.
