Presentation

Chronic nasal cavity obstruction and runny nose.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

Remarkable polypoid mucosal thickening and fluid in all paranasal sinuses and nasal cavities with osteomeatal complex and sinus and nasal cavities obliteration are seen.

Case Discussion

The case illustrates the typical non-contrast MDCT features of pathology-proved sinonasal polyposis. The disease is a kind of chronic sinusitis usually due to allergy. Secondary fungal infection of the sinuses is one of the major complications of the disease. Cystic fibrosis can be also considered a background disease.
