ct

There is a well-defined smoothly bordered non-aggressive sclerotic pedunculated osseous lesion arising from the outer table of the right occipital bone, without surrounding soft tissue swelling measuring about 1.1 x 1 cm.

Mild mucosal thickening is noted in both maxillary sinuses without air-fluid level or bone erosion.

The nasal turbinates are hypertrophied.

The osseous part of nasal septum is deviated to the left.

Case Discussion

Skull osteomas are commonly encountered incidentally as in this patient, however, sometimes they may be disfiguring if they arise from the frontal or maxillary bones and require excision for cosmetic reasons.
