Case Discussion

Slipped upper femoral epiphysis (SUFE) is a relatively common condition affecting the upper epiphysis of the femur in adolescents. It affects boys more than girls.

AP and frog lateral X-ray views of hips are the most useful initial diagnostic modality.

CT has more sensitivity for the detection of femoral epiphysis displacement.
