Presentation
Superior displacement of the right shoulder.
Patient Data
Elevation of the right scapula compared to the opposite side, indicating Sprengel shoulder.
Omovertebral bone extending from the right side of the posterior elements of C6-C7 down to the superomedial border of the right scapula. Widening of its medial aspect measuring around 2 cm with heterogeneous bone marrow signal.
Soft tissue asymmetry of the shoulder and lower neck muscles is noted.
Narrowing of C5-C6 and C7-T1 disc spaces.
Mild spinal deformities are also seen with cervico-dorsal scoliosis with its convexity to the left side.
The spinal cord appears normal.
Multiple enlarged deep cervical lymph nodes are seen measuring less than 2 cm, with moderate adenoidal and tonsillar enlargement.
Prominent thymus.
Bibasilar atelectasis.
N.B.
The right kidney is not visualized in the obtained images of the upper abdomen.
Case Discussion
Features are consistent with Sprengel deformity and omovertebra.
