Large branching right renal stone casting pelvicalyceal system that shows mild dilatation.
Normal right kidney.
Case Discussion
A classic appearance of right renal staghorn stone. It is associated with recurrent urinary tract infections, so more common in women. It is composed mainly of struvite and casting the pelvicalyceal system which may be dilated. The first-line treatment is usually percutaneous nephrolithotomy.
