Nodular mass-like areas are seen in right frontal lobe extending from subcortical region to the trigone and occipital horn of right lateral ventricle. The lesion is compressing the trigone and occipital horn of right lateral ventricle. The lesions are isointense to gray matter in all the sequences.
Case Discussion
Imaging features suggest subcortical gray matter heterotopia.
Gray matter heterotopia refers to normal neurons in abnormal locations due to impaired migrations. Subcortical gray matter heterotopia is a specific type of nodular heterotopia and mainly presents with seizure.
