Susceptibility artifacts are noted involving the cerebellar folia and bilateral cerebral sulci on SWI images.
Case Discussion
Superficial siderosis is due to deposition of the hemosiderin along the leptomeninges due to recurrent occult subarachnoid hemorrhages and eventually leading to neurological dysfunction.
Linear areas of low signals coating the surface of the brain or spinal cord are noted on SWI sequence of MRI.
