Syndactyly

There is complete bilateral simple post-axial soft tissue syndactyly of the 4th and 5th rays.
There is a partial bilateral simple central soft tissue syndactyly of the 3rd and 4th rays, left worse than right.
There is normal bone density and symmetric ossification centers.
Case Discussion
Syndactyly may be :
- simple - soft tissue and skin fusion only
- complex- soft tissue, skin and bone fusion
- complicated- soft tissue, skin, and bone fusion complicated by additional digits, tendons, and ligaments
It may be sporadic, familial, or genetic, or coexist with other anomalies. In this instance clinical and limited genetic workup was negative.
There was no clinical or radiological evidence to suggest Apert's or Poland's syndrome with normal feet and a normal chest X-ray.
