Takayasu arteritis

Diffuse circumferential thickening of the thoracic aorta and abdominal aorta extending into the right brachiocephalic, left common carotid, and left subclavian arteries. Moderate stenosis of the left subclavian artery, short segment of fusiform focal aneurysm of the right subclavian artery. Diffuse periaortic fat stranding with indistinct margins. Multifocal calcified atherosclerosis of the thoracic aorta.
Case Discussion
The combination of circumferential thickening of the aorta extending into the arch vessels with stenosis and aneurysm formation in a young woman is very suggestive of Takayasu arteritis.
