A group of punctate calcifications is noted in the UOQ of the right breast, which is fixed in orientation on both CC and MLO views, known as a tattoo sign and consistent with dermal calcification. (BI-RADS 2)
Case Discussion
The tattoo sign is a benign finding and feature given to describe dermal calcifications seen on mammography to prove the dermal location of the calcifications.
It is helpful to obtain a tangential view or perform a tomosynthesis.
