Testicular seminoma

Presentation

Right testicular pain off and on for three weeks.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

Right testis measures 2.6 x 2.3 x 4.3 cm and shows heterogeneous parenchymal echogenicity. A lobulated hypoechoic to isoechoic solid lesion is seen at the lower pole of the right testis. No calcifications or cystic components are seen in it. Increased vascularity is seen in this lesion on color Doppler ultrasound examination. Left testis is normal.

Case Discussion

Sonographic features are suggestive of a malignant process like germ cell tumor. Laboratory investigations show normal tumor markers. The patient underwent right orchiectomy and later on was referred to the oncologist for further management.
