Testicular torsion

Presentation

Episode of acute left testicular pain a month ago, with a reduction in clinical manifestations a few weeks ago

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

Left testis with horizontal orientation, with slightly reduced dimensions, with diffusely reduced echogenicity and heterogeneous echotexture, with no detectable blood flow on color Doppler. Hyperechoic left epididymis, which cannot be separated from the spermatic cord.

Case Discussion

After a diagnosis of late testicular torsion, the patient underwent left orchiectomy and right orchidopexy.
