Presentation

Myasthenia.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
ct

Well-circumscribed anterior mediastinal mass with moderate homogeneous enhancement in contact with the ascending aorta and right auricle. No mediastinal or hilar lymphadenopathy. No pleural or pericardial effusion.

Nodular thickening of the right diaphragmatic pleura suggestive of metastasis.

Both lungs are clear.

Small fat-containing umbilical hernia.

Case Discussion

The clinical presentation and the CT features are suggestive of thymoma (biopsy proven as thymic carcinoma) with probably right diaphragmatic pleural metastasis.
